✧ Misappropriation of booty

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ قَالَ:
لَمَّا كَانَ عِنْدَ قَسْمِ الْخُمُسِ أَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ يَسْتَحِلُّهُ خِيَاطًا أَوْ مِخْيَطًا، فَقَالَ: رُدُّوا الْخِيَاطَ وَالْمِخْيَطَ فَإِنَّ الْغُلُولَ عَارٌ وَنَارٌ وَشَنَارٌ قَالَ: ثُمَّ رَفَعَ شَعَرَاتٍ أَوْ وَبَرَةً مِنْ بَعِيرِهِ فَقَالَ: " مَا لِي مِمَّا أَفَاءَ اللهُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَلَا مِثْلَ هَذِهِ إِلَّا الْخُمُسَ وَهُوَ مَرْدُودٌ عَلَيْكُمْ
Translation
✧ When it was time for the division of the fifth, a man came to him asking him to allow a thread or a needle. He said: “Return the thread and the needle, for misappropriation is disgrace, Fire, and shame.” He said: Then he lifted some hairs or a piece of wool from his camel and said: “I have no right to what Allah has granted you as spoils, not even the like of this, except the fifth, and it is returned to you.”
