عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَمَّنْ سَمِعَ الْحَسَنَ يَقُولُ:
بَعَثَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ سَرِيَّةً إِلَى خَيْبَرَ فَأَفْضَى الْقَتْلُ إِلَى الذُّرِّيَّةِ، فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ: " مَا يَحْمِلُكُمْ عَلَى قَتْلِ الذُّرِّيَّةِ ؟ " قَالُوا: أَوَلَيْسُوا أَوْلَادَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ ؟ قَالَ: " أَوَلَيْسَ خِيَارُكُمْ أَوْلَادَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ ؟ " قَالَ: ثُمَّ خَطَبَنَا، فَقَالَ: أَلَا كُلُّ مَوْلُودٍ يُولَدُ عَلَى الْفِطْرَةِ حَتَّى يُعْرِبَ عَنْهُ لِسَانُهُ
Translation

machine translationʿAbd al-Razzāq, from Maʿmar, from one who heard al-Ḥasan saying:
✧ The Prophet ﷺ sent an expedition to Khaybar, and the killing reached the children. That reached the Prophet ﷺ, and he said: 'What makes you kill the children?' They said: 'Are they not the children of the polytheists?' He said: 'Are not the best of you the children of the polytheists?' Then he addressed us and said: 'Indeed, every newborn is born upon the natural disposition until his tongue expresses it for him.'
