9368 9274 - عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ الْجَزَرِيِّ قَالَ:
أُنْبِئْتُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ، ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ مِثْلَ حَدِيثِ مَعْمَرٍ. متن مخفيجَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ إِنِّي رَجُلٌ جَبَانٌ لَا أُطِيقُ لِقَاءَ الْعَدُوِّ فَقَالَ أَلَا أَدُلُّكَ عَلَى جِهَادٍ لَا قِتَالَ فِيهِ فَقَالَ بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ عَلَيْكَ بِالْحَجِّ وَالْعُمْرَةِ
Translation
✧ I was informed that the Prophet ﷺ, then he mentioned the like of Maʿmar's hadith. Hidden text: A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'I am a coward; I cannot bear meeting the enemy.' He said: 'Shall I not guide you to a struggle in which there is no fighting?' He said: 'Yes, O Messenger of Allah.' He said: 'Upon you is Hajj and ʿUmrah.'
