✧ One Who Steps on Dry or Wet Impurity

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ:
خَرَجْنَا يَوْمًا مَعَ ابْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ إِلَى مَسْجِدٍ، وَكَانَتِ الْأَرْضُ مُطِرَتْ فَفِيهَا رَدْغٌ، فَلَمَّا أَتَيْنَا بَابَ الْمَسْجِدِ غَسَلَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ رِجْلَيْهِ، فَقَالَ لَهُ ابْنُ الْمُسَيِّبِ: أَمَا كُنْتَ تَوَضَّأْتَ فِي رَحْلِكَ ؟ قَالَ: بَلَى، وَلَكِنَّا مَرَرْنَا فِي هَذَا الرَّزْغِ قَالَ: لَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ وُضُوءٌ
Translation
✧ One day we went out with Ibn al-Musayyib to a mosque, and the ground had been rained on and there was mud. When we reached the mosque door, a man from the group washed his feet. Ibn al-Musayyib said to him: Had you not performed wudu in your dwelling? He said: Yes, but we passed through this mud. He said: There is no wudu upon you.
