عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ:
كَانَ قَوْمٌ أَسْلَمُوا عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَدِمُوا الْمَدِينَةَ بِلَحْمٍ يَبِيعُونَهُ، فَأَنِفَتْ أَنْفُسُ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مِنْهُ، وَقَالُوا: لَعَلَّهُ لَمْ يُذْكَرِ اسْمُ اللهِ فَسَأَلُوا النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ: فَسَمُّوا أَنْتُمْ وَكُلُوا
Translation
Chain of narrators
machine translationʿAbd al-Razzāq, from Maʿmar, from Hishām b. ʿUrwah, from his father, who said:
✧ Some people had embraced Islam during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and came to Madinah with meat that they were selling. The companions of the Prophet ﷺ felt aversion toward it and said, “Perhaps the name of Allah was not mentioned over it.” So they asked the Prophet ﷺ, and he said: “Then you mention the name and eat.”
