✧ The cat and the locust

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي بُكَيْرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْأَشَجِّ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ:
كُنْتُ عِنْدَ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فَسَأَلَهُ رَجُلٌ عَنْ جَرَادَةٍ قَتَلَهَا وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ قَالَ: " فِيهَا قَبْضَةٌ مِنْ قَمْحٍ، وَإِنَّكَ لَآخِذٌ قَبْضَةَ جَرَادَاتٍ
Translation
✧ I was with Ibn ‘Abbās when a man asked him about a locust he had killed while in iḥrām. He said: “For it is a handful of wheat, and indeed you are taking a handful of locusts.”
