✧ One Who Steps on Dry or Wet Impurity

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ:

قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ: أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ تَوَضَّأَ إِنْسَانٌ فَوَطِئَ عَلَى خِرَاءٍ، عَلَيْهِ وُضُوءٌ ؟ قَالَ: لَا، وَلَكِنْ لِيَغْسِلْ عَنْهُ الْخِرَاءَ فَلْيُنَقِّهِ قَالَ: وَأَقُولُ أَنَا: فَخُذْ بِهَذَا، وَإِنْ وَطِئَ رَوْثًا دَلَكَ رِجْلَيْهِ بِالْأَرْضِ، أَوْ قَالَ: بِالتُّرَابِ

Translation

✧ I said to Ata: What do you think if a person performs ablution and then steps on feces? Does he need to repeat his ablution? He said: No, but he should wash the feces off, so let him cleanse it. He said: And I say: follow this. If he steps on dung, he should rub his feet on the ground, or he said: with dust.
