✧ The wild donkey, the cow, and the ibex

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُحَرَّرٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ يَقُولُ:
كَتَبَ أَبُو مَلِيحِ بْنُ أُسَامَةَ إِلَى أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ يَسْأَلُهُ عَنْ حِمَارِ الْوَحْشِ يُصِيبُهُ الْمُحْرِمُ، فَكَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ " أَنَّ فِيهِ بَدَنَةً "، أَوْ قَالَ: " بَقَرَةً
Translation
✧ Abu Malih b. Usamah wrote to Abu Ubaydah b. Abd Allah asking him about a wild donkey that a pilgrim in ihram kills. He wrote back to him: "A sacrificial camel is due for it," or he said: "A cow."
