✧ Whichever expiations he wishes, he may expiate

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ:
إِنَّمَا جُعِلَ الطَّعَامُ لِيُعْلَمَ بِهِ الصِّيَامُ
Translation
✧ The food is only stipulated so that the fasting may be known by it.
