✧ The virtue of the ten days, and the standing at 'Arafah in the cities

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ الْبَطِينِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

مَا مِنْ أَيَّامٍ أَحَبَّ إِلَى اللهِ فِيهِنَّ الْعَمَلُ، أَوْ أَفْضَلَ فِيهِنَّ الْعَمَلُ مِنْ أَيَّامِ الْعَشْرِ، قِيلَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ! وَلَا الْجِهَادُ ؟ قَالَ: " وَلَا الْجِهَادُ إِلَّا رَجُلٌ خَرَجَ بِنَفْسِهِ، وَمَالِهِ، فَلَا يَرْجِعُ مِنْ ذَلِكَ بِشَيْءٍ

Translation

✧ There are no days in which deeds are more beloved to God, or in which deeds are more excellent, than the ten days. It was said, "O Messenger of God, not even jihad?" He said, "Not even jihad, except a man who goes out with his own self and his wealth and does not return from that with anything."
