✧ The Prophet's ﷺ going out during his I'tikaf

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ:
خَرَجَتْ سَوْدَةُ زَوْجُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ، فَرَآهَا عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ فَقَالَ: إِنَّكِ لَنْ تَخْفَيْ عَلَيْنَا، وَكَانَتْ طَوِيلَةً، فَذُكِرَ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَهُوَ يَأْكُلُ عَرْقًا، فَمَا وَضَعَهُ حَتَّى أُوحِيَ إِلَيْهِ: أَنْ قَدْ رُخِّصْتُنَّ أَنْ تَخْرُجْنَ فِي حَوَائِجِكُنَّ لَيْلًا
Translation
✧ Sawda, the Prophet's wife ﷺ, went out one night. 'Umar b. al-Khattab saw her and said: “You will not be hidden from us,” for she was tall. That was mentioned to the Prophet ﷺ while he was eating a bone with meat on it, and he did not put it down until it was revealed to him: “You have been permitted to go out for your needs at night.”
