✧ The Sunnah of I'tikaf

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ ضَمْرَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ:
مَنِ اعْتَكَفَ فَلَا يَرْفُثْ فِي الْحَدِيثِ، وَلَا يُسَابَّ، وَيَشْهَدُ الْجُمُعَةَ، وَالْجِنَازَةَ، وَلْيُوصِ أَهْلَهُ إِذَا كَانَتْ لَهُ حَاجَةٌ، وَهُوَ قَائِمٌ، وَلَا يَجْلِسْ عِنْدَهُمْ
Translation
✧ Whoever is in I'tikaf should not speak obscenely or insult anyone. He should attend the Friday prayer and funerals. He may instruct his family if he has a need while standing, and he should not sit with them.
