أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مَاهَكَ قَالَ:
دَخَلْتُ أَنَا، وَابْنُ مُلَيْكَةَ عَلَى حَفْصَةَ بِنْتِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، وَوَلَدَتْ لِلْمُنْذِرِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ غُلَامًا، فَقُلْتُ: " هَلَّا عَقَقْتِ جَزُورًا عَلَى ابْنِكِ "، فَقَالَتْ: مَعَاذَ اللهِ كَانَتْ عَمَّتِي عَائِشَةُ، تَقُولُ: عَلَى الْغُلَامِ شَاتَانِ، وَعَلَى الْجَارِيَةِ شَاةٌ
Translation
✧ I and Ibn Mulayka entered upon Hafsa bt. 'Abd al-Rahman b. Abi Bakr, who had given birth to a boy for al-Mundhir b. al-Zubayr. I said: "Why did you not perform 'aqiqah with a camel for your son?" She said: "God forbid! My aunt 'A'isha used to say: For a boy two sheep, and for a girl one sheep."
