عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي حَفْصُ بْنُ مَيْسَرَةَ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ وَلَدِ حُذَيْفَةَ، أَنَّ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَ:
لَأَجْتَهِدَنَّ اللَّيْلَةَ فِي الدُّعَاءِ قَالَ: فَأَخَذَتْهُ رِقَّةٌ، فَلَمْ يَقْدِرْ عَلَى شَيْءٍ قَالَ: فَسَمِعَ قَائِلًا يَقُولُ: " قُلِ: اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا، لَكَ الْحَمْدُ كُلُّهُ، وَبِيَدِكَ الْخَيْرُ كُلُّهُ، وَإِلَيْكَ يَرْجِعُ الْأَمْرُ كُلُّهُ عَلَانِيَتُهُ وَسِرُّهُ، أَهْلٌ أَنْ تُحْمَدَ، إِنَّكَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ، اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي مَا أَسْلَفْتُ مِنْ ذُنُوبِي، وَاعْصِمْنِي فِيمَا بَقِيَ مِنْ عُمُرِي، وَارْزُقْنِي أَعْمَالًا زَاكِيَةً تَرْضَى بِهَا عَنِّي
Translation
✧ "Let me strive tonight in supplication." Then softness overtook him, and he was unable to do anything. Then he heard a speaker saying: "Say: O Allah, our Lord, to You belongs all praise. In Your hand is all good. To You returns the whole affair, its open and its secret. You are worthy to be praised. You have power over all things. O Allah, forgive me the sins I have committed before, and protect me for what remains of my life, and grant me righteous deeds by which You may be pleased with me."
