✧ Using oil for the fasting person

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ قَالَ:
كَانَ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ يَقُولُ: إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ صَوْمِ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلْيَدَّهِنْ لِحْيَتَهُ، وَلْيَمْسَحْ شَفَتَيْهِ حَتَّى يَخْرُجَ إِلَى النَّاسِ، فَيَقُولُوا: لَيْسَ بِصَائِمٍ، وَإِذَا صَلَّى أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيُدْنِ عَلَيْهِ سِتْرَ بَابِهِ، فَإِنَّ اللهَ يَقْسِمُ الثَّنَاءَ كَمَا يَقْسِمُ الرِّزْقَ، وَإِذَا أَعْطَى أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيُعْطِ بِيَمِينِهِ، وَلْيُخْفِ مِنْ شِمَالِهِ
Translation
✧ Jesus son of Mary used to say: "When it is the fasting day of one of you, let him oil his beard and wipe his lips so that when he goes out to the people, they will say: 'He is not fasting.' And when one of you prays, let him draw his door curtain close to him, for Allah distributes praise just as He distributes provision. And when one of you gives, let him give with his right hand and conceal it from his left."
