✧ Fasting on the Day of Arafah

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّهُ:
كَانَ لَا يَصُومُ يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ إِذَا كَانَ مُسَافِرًا بِعَرَفَةَ، وَإِذَا كَانَ مُقِيمًا فِي أَهْلِهِ صَامَهُ
Translation

machine translationʿAbd al-Razzāq informed us, he said: Maʿmar informed us, from Ibn Ṭāwūs, from his father, that he:
✧ He would not fast on the day of Arafah if he was traveling at Arafah, but if he was resident with his family, he would fast it.
