Translation

✧ Umar invited me to have the pre-dawn meal with him, and to have the midday meal in the month of Ramadan. Umar heard the clamor of the people when they left the mosque, and he said: 'What is this?' I said: 'The people when they left the mosque.' He said: 'What remains of the night is more beloved to me than what has passed.'
