✧ Standing in prayer during Ramadan

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ: "
كَانُوا يَقْرَءُونَ بِتِسْعٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ، أَوْ إِحْدَى وَأَرْبَعِينَ، قَالَ: " وَكَانَ النَّاسُ بِمَكَّةَ زَمَنَ عُمَرَ وَغَيْرِهِ يَصُومُونَ وَيَطُوفُونَ حَتَّى جَمَعَهُمُ الْقَسْرِيُّ
Translation
✧ They used to recite thirty-nine or forty-one [verses?]. He said: The people in Makkah during the time of Umar and others used to fast and circumambulate until al-Qasri gathered them.
