Translation

✧ He used to encourage standing in prayer during Ramadan without commanding them as a firm obligation, and he would say: Whoever stands in prayer during Ramadan out of faith and seeking reward, his previous sins will be forgiven. The Messenger of God ﷺ passed away with the matter on that, then the matter was like that during the caliphate of Abu Bakr and the beginning of the caliphate of Umar.
