✧ The Night of Decree

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ، عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ أَنَّهُ:
كَانَ يَرَاهَا لَيْلَةَ ثَلَاثٍ وَعِشْرِينَ فَحَدَّثَهُ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الْحُرِّ، عَنْ عَبْدَةَ بْنِ أَبِي لُبَابَةَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " لَيْلَةَ سَبْعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ، وَأَنَّهُ قَدْ جَرَّبَ ذَلِكَ بِأَشْيَاءَ، وَبِالنُّجُومِ " فَلَمْ يَلْتَفِتْ مَكْحُولٌ إِلَى ذَلِكَ
Translation
✧ He used to consider it the night of the twenty-third. Al-Hasan b. al-Hurr narrated to him from Abda b. Abi Lubaba that he said, 'The night of the twenty-seventh, and that he had tested that by various things and by the stars.' Makhul did not pay attention to that.
