عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ بْنُ سَيْفٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ الْمُسَيِّبِ يَقُولُ:
كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فِي نَفَرٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ فَقَالَ: أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِلَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ ؟ " قَالُوا: بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ! فَسَكَتَ سَاعَةً، فَقَالَ: " لَقَدْ قُلْتُ لَكُمْ مَا قُلْتُ آنِفًا، وَأَنَا أَعْلَمُهَا، وَإِنِّي لَأَعْلَمُهَا، ثُمَّ أُنْسِيتُهَا، أَرَأَيْتُمْ يَوْمًا كُنَّا مَكَانَ كَذَا وَكَذَا، أَيُّ لَيْلَةٍ هِيَ ؟ فِي غَزَوَةٍ غَزَاهَا "، فَقَالُوا: سِرْنَا فَفَعَلْنَا حَتَّى اسْتَقَامَ مَلَأُ الْقَوْمِ عَلَى أَنَّهَا لَيْلَةُ ثَلَاثٍ وَعِشْرِينَ
Translation
✧ The Prophet ﷺ was among a group of his companions and said, 'Shall I inform you of Laylat al-Qadr?' They said, 'Yes, O Messenger of Allah!' He was silent for a while, then said, 'I said to you what I said a short while ago, and I know it. Indeed I know it, then I was made to forget it. Do you remember the day we were at such-and-such a place—which night was it? In a military expedition he undertook.' They said, 'We traveled and did such-and-such until the group of people settled on it being the night of the twenty-third.'
