عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ قَالَ:
سَأَلْتُ طَاوُسًا، عَنْ أُمِّي وَكَانَ بِهَا عُطَاشٌ فَلَمْ تَسْتَطِعْ أَنْ تَصُومَ رَمَضَانَ، فَقَالَ: تُطْعِمُ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ مِسْكِينًا مُدَّ بُرٍّ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: بِأَيِّ مُدٍّ ؟ قَالَ: " مُدُّ أَرْضِكَ ؟
Translation
✧ I asked Ṭāwūs about my mother, who had a chronic thirst and was unable to fast Ramadan. He said: “She feeds a poor person each day a mudd of wheat.” I said: “With which mudd?” He said: “The mudd of your land.”
