✧ Washing the Feet

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مَحْمُودٍ، أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهُ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ نَظَرَ إِلَى رَجُلٍ أَعْمَى يَتَوَضَّأُ، فَجَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: بَطْنُ الْقَدَمِ، وَلَا يَسْمَعُهُ الْأَعْمَى، وَجَعَلَ الْأَعْمَى يَغْسِلُ بَطْنَ الْقَدَمَيْنِ، فَسُمِّيَ الْبَصِيرَ
Translation
✧ The Prophet ﷺ looked at a blind man performing ablution, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ began saying, 'The sole of the foot,' but the blind man did not hear him. The blind man proceeded to wash the soles of his feet, and thus he was called al-Baṣīr (the seeing one).
