✧ Kissing for the fasting person

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ،

أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ كَانَ يَنْهَى عَنْ قُبْلَةِ الصَّائِمِ، فَقِيلَ لَهُ: " إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ سَلَّمَ كَانَ يُقَبِّلُ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ "، فَقَالَ: وَمَنْ ذَا لَهُ مِنَ الْحِفْظِ وَالْعِصْمَةِ مَا لِرَسُولِ اللهِ -ﷺ

Translation

✧ Umar b. al-Khattab used to forbid the fasting person from kissing. It was said to him: 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to kiss while fasting,' so he said: 'Who has the self-restraint and protection that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had?'
