✧ The distinction between Ramadan and Sha'ban

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي حَبِيبُ بْنُ الشَّهِيدِ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ سِيرِينَ يَقُولُ:
لَأَنْ أُفْطِرَ يَوْمًا مِنْ رَمَضَانَ لَا أَعْتَمِدُهُ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ أَنْ أَصُومَ الْيَوْمَ الَّذِي يُشَكُّ فِيهِ مِنْ شَعْبَانَ
Translation
✧ That I break the fast on a day of Ramadan without relying on it is dearer to me than that I fast the day about which there is doubt regarding Shaʿban.
