✧ How Much Is a Wasq

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ:
لَيْسَ فِيمَا دُونَ خَمْسَةِ أَوْسُقٍ صَدَقَةٌ، قُلْتُ لَهُ: كَمِ الصَّاعُ ؟ قَالَ: " أَرْبَعَةُ أَمْدَادٍ بِمُدِّ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ "، قُلْتُ: كَمِ الْمُدُّ ؟ قَالَ: قَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ: " رِطْلٌ وَنِصْفٌ " وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ: " رِطْلَيْنِ
Translation
✧ There is no charity due on what is less than five awsuq. I said to him: How much is the sa'? He said: "Four mudds by the mudd of the Prophet ﷺ." I said: How much is the mudd? He said: Some say: "A ratl and a half," and others say: "Two ratls."
