عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: قَالَ لِي عَطَاءٌ:
يُخْرَصُ النَّخْلُ، وَالْعِنَبُ، وَلَا يُخْرَصُ الْحَبُّ، قُلْتُ لَهُ: أَكَانَ مَنْ مَضَى يَخْرُصُونَ النَّخْلَ، وَالْعِنَبَ، وَلَا يَخْرُصُونَ الْحَبَّ أَمِ النَّاسُ الْيَوْمَ ؟ قَالَ: " بَلْ مَضَى، أَخَالُ قَالَ: وَالنَّاسُ الْيَوْمَ أَيْضًا لَا يَخْرُصُونَ
Translation
Chain of narrators
machine translationʿAbd al-Razzāq, from Ibn Jurayj, who said: ʿAṭāʾ said to me:
✧ Palms and grapes are estimated, but grain is not estimated. I said to him: Did those who came before estimate palms and grapes but not grain, or do people today? He said: Rather those who came before. I think he said: And people today also do not estimate.
