عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي لَيْثٍ يُقَالُ لَهُ كَرْدَمٌ
أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ كَتَبَ إِلَيْهِمْ: أَنْ أَعْطُوا مِنَ الصَّدَقَةِ مَنْ تَرَكَتْ لَهُ السَّنَةُ غَنَمًا وَرَاعِيَهَا، وَلَا تُعْطُوا مِنْهَا مَنْ تَرَكَتْ لَهُ السَّنَةُ غَنَمَيْنِ وَرَاعِيَيْنِ
Translation

machine translationʿAbd al-Razzāq, from Maʿmar, from Ibn Abī Najīḥ, who said: A man from Banū Layth called Kardam informed me
✧ ʿUmar b. al-Khaṭṭāb wrote to them: Give from the charity to one whom the year has left with sheep and their shepherd, and do not give from it to one whom the year has left with two sheep and two shepherds.
