✧ How Much Is the Treasure and for Whom Is Zakat

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَدِيِّ بْنِ الْخِيَارِ قَالَ:
كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَقْسِمُ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ فَجَاءَهُ رَجُلَانِ فَسَأَلَاهُ، فَأَصْعَدَ فِيهِمَا بَصَرَهُ وَصَوَّبَهُ - أَوْ قَالَ: وَأَحْدَرَهُ - وَقَالَ مَعْمَرٌ: نص إضافييَعْنِي جَلْدَانِ، فَقَالَ: النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لَهُمَا: " مَا شِئْتُمَا، وَلَكَنْ لَا حَقَّ فِيهَا لِغَنِيٍّ، وَلَا لِقَوِيٍّ مُكْتَسِبٍ
Translation
✧ The Prophet ﷺ was distributing on the Day of the Conquest, and two men came to him and asked him. He raised his gaze toward them and lowered it – or he said: and brought it down – and Maʿmar said: Additional text, meaning they were sturdy. The Prophet ﷺ said to them, “Whatever you wish, but there is no right in it for a rich person, nor for a strong one who earns.”
