✧ Charities Are Only for the Poor

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أُخْبِرْتُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ:
إِذَا وَضَعْتَهَا فِي صِنْفٍ وَاحِدٍ مِنْ هَذِهِ الْأَصْنَافِ فَحَسْبُكَ، إِنَّمَا قَالَ اللهُ: ﴿إِنَّمَا الصَّدَقَاتُ لِلْفُقَرَاءِ ﴾وَكَذَا وَكَذَا لِأَنْ لَا تَجْعَلَهَا فِي غَيْرِ هَذِهِ الْأَصْنَافِ
Translation

machine translationʿAbd al-Razzāq, from Ibn Jurayj, who said: I was informed from Ibn ʿAbbās, that he said:
✧ If you place it in one category of these categories, it suffices you. God only said: "Indeed, charities are for the poor," and so on, so that you do not place it outside these categories.
