✧ Charity of the slave and the mukatib

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونِ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ:
مَرَّتْ أُمِّي بِبَقَرٍ لَهَا عَلَى مَسْرُوقٍ، وَهِيَ مُكَاتَبَةٌ، فَلَمْ يَأْخُذْ مِنْهَا شَيْئًا قَالَ: " وَكَانَ عَلَى السِّلْسِلَةِ
Translation
✧ My mother, who was a mukatabah, passed by Masruq with some cows of hers, and he did not take anything from her." He said: "And he was in charge of the silsilah (the chain, i.e., the zakah administration)."
