✧ The place of charity and the delivery of charity in its proper places

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ وَهُوَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْخُرَاسَانِيُّ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ صَاحِبِ الدَّسْتُوَائِيِّ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْبَيْلَمَانِيِّ،

أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ قَالَ فِيمَا أَوْصَى بِهِ عُمَرَ: " مَنْ أَدَّى الزَّكَاةَ إِلَى غَيْرِ أَهْلِهَا لَمْ تُقْبَلْ زَكَاتُهُ وَلَوْ تَصَدَّقَ بِالدُّنْيَا جَمِيعًا، وَمَنْ صَامَ شَهْرَ رَمَضَانَ فِي غَيْرِهِ لَمْ يُقْبَلْ مِنْهُ صَوْمُهُ، وَلَوْ صَامَ الدَّهْرَ أَجْمَعَ

Translation

✧ Abu Bakr said in what he advised Umar: "Whoever pays zakat to other than its rightful recipients, his zakat will not be accepted, even if he gives charity with the entire world. And whoever fasts the month of Ramadan outside of it, his fast will not be accepted from him, even if he fasts the entire age."
