✧ The obligation of charity upon the passing of a year

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ
أَتَاهُ الْمُصَدِّقُ، وَقَدْ بَلَغَتْ مَاشِيَتُهُ تِسْعًا وَثَلَاثِينَ شَاةً يَعُدُّهَا عَدًّا حَتَّى إِذَا جَاوَزَ وَلَدَتْ شَاةٌ مِنْهَا، وَقَدْ وَلَّى الْمُصَدِّقُ قَالَ: يَقُولُونَ: " لَا صَدَقَةَ فِيهَا
Translation
✧ The collector came to him when his livestock had reached thirty-nine sheep, counting them one by one, until when he passed by, one of them gave birth, and the collector had turned away. He said: They say: "There is no charity on it."
