✧ Greeting the grave of the Prophet ﷺ

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ أَبِي خِدَاشٍ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ:
لَمَّا أَشْرَفَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَلَى الْمَقْبَرَةِ وَهُوَ عَلَى طَرِيقِهَا الْأَوَّلِ أَشَارَ بِيَدِهِ وَرَاءَ الصُّفْرَةِ، فَقَالَ: " نِعْمَ الْمَقْبَرَةُ قُلْتُ لِلَّذِي يُخْبِرُنِي: خَصَّ الشِّعْبَ ؟ قَالَ: هَكَذَا كُنَّا نَسْمَعُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ " خَصَّ الشِّعْبَ الْمُقَابِلَ بِالْبَيْتِ
Translation
✧ When the Prophet ﷺ overlooked the cemetery while he was on its first road, he gestured with his hand behind the yellow [mark], and said: "What an excellent cemetery." I said to the one who informed me: "Did he single out the mountain pass?" He said: "Thus we used to hear that the Prophet ﷺ singled out the mountain pass facing the House."
