✧ On visiting the graves

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عَطَاءٌ الْخُرَاسَانِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ
إِنِّي كُنْتُ نَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ زِيَارَةِ الْقُبُورِ فَزُورُوهَا، فَإِنَّهَا تُذَكِّرُ الْآخِرَةَ، وَنَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ نَبِيذِ الْجَرِّ فَانْتَبِذُوا فِي كُلِّ وِعَاءٍ، وَاجْتَنِبُوا كُلَّ مُسْكِرٍ، وَنَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ أَكْلِ لُحُومِ الْأَضَاحِيِّ بَعْدَ ثَلَاثٍ فَكُلُوا وَتَزَوَّدُوا وَادَّخِرُوا
Translation
✧ I had forbidden you from visiting graves, but now visit them, for they remind of the Hereafter. I had forbidden you from nabīdh made in earthen jars, but now make nabīdh in any vessel and avoid every intoxicant. I had forbidden you from eating sacrificial meat after three days, but now eat it, take it as provision, and store it.
