✧ Patience, weeping, and wailing

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ:
أَخَذَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ حِينَ بَايَعَهُنَّ أَنْ لَا يَنُحْنَ وَلَا يَجْلُبْنَ لِحَدِيثِ الرِّجَالِ، فَقَالَ لَهُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ: إِنَّا نَغِيبُ وَلَنَا أَضْيَافٌ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: " لَسْتُ أُولَئِكَ أَعْنِي
Translation
✧ The Prophet ﷺ took a pledge from the women when he accepted their allegiance that they would not wail or bring men for conversation. Abd al-Rahman b. Awf said to him: "We are often absent and we have guests." The Prophet ﷺ said: "I do not mean those."
