✧ The funeral prayer in the mosque

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ
أَنَّهَا أَمَرَتْ أَنْ يُمَرَّ عَلَيْهَا بِجِنَازَةِ سَعْدِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ حِينَ مَاتَ لِتَدْعُوَ، فَأَنْكَرَ ذَلِكَ النَّاسُ، فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: " مَا أَسْرَعَ مَا نَسِيَ النَّاسُ، مَا صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى سُهَيْلِ ابْنِ بَيْضَاءَ إِلَّا فِي الْمَسْجِدِ
Translation
✧ She ordered that the funeral of Sa'd b. Malik be brought past her in the mosque when he died so that she could supplicate, and the people objected to that. Aisha said: 'How quickly people have forgotten! The Messenger of God ﷺ did not pray over Suhayl b. Bayda' except in the mosque.'
