✧ The funeral prayer over the deceased after burial

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ،
أَنَّ إِنْسَانًا كَانَ يَقُومُ عَلَى الْمَسْجِدِ فَيُنَقِّي مِنْهُ الشَّيْءَ يَجِدُهُ، فَتُوُفِّيَ، فَسَأَلَ عَنْهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ بِأَيَّامٍ فَقَالُوا: تُوُفِّيَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، قَالَ: فَهَلَّا آذَنْتُمُونِي، فَإِنَّ صَلَاتِي عَلَيْهِمْ نُورٌ فِي قُبُورِهِمْ
Translation
✧ A person used to stand at the mosque and clean from it something he found, and he died. The Prophet ﷺ asked about him some days after that, and they said: He died, O Messenger of God. He said: Why did you not inform me, for my prayer over them is a light in their graves.
