✧ What is said when the deceased is lowered into the grave

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ خَيْثَمَةَ قَالَ:
كَانُوا يَسْتَحِبُّونَ أَنْ يَقُولُوا عَلَى الْمَيِّتِ: " بِسْمِ اللهِ، وَفِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ، وَعَلَى مِلَّةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ اللَّهُمَّ أَجِرْهُ مِنْ عَذَابِ النَّارِ، وَعَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ، وَشَرِّ الشَّيْطَانِ
Translation
✧ They used to prefer to say over the deceased: "In the name of Allah, and in the path of Allah, and upon the faith of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. O Allah, protect him from the punishment of the Fire, the punishment of the grave, and the evil of Satan."
