✧ The takbir over the funeral

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ:
إِذَا كَبَّرَ الْإِمَامُ عَلَى الْجِنَازَةِ ثُمَّ جِيءَ بِأُخْرَى كَبَّرَ عَلَيْهَا أَرْبَعًا، فَيَكُونُ أَرْبَعًا لِلْأُخْرَى وَخَمْسًا لِلْأُولَى "، وَكَانَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ " يَكْرَهُ أَنْ يَكُونَ آخِرَ عَهْدِ الْمَيِّتِ نَايًا، أَوْ أَنْ يَمُرَّ الرَّاكِبُ بَيْنَ يَدَيِ الْجِنَازَةِ، وَأَنْ يَقُومَ الرَّجُلُ بَيْنَ عَمُودَيْ سَرِيرِ الْمَيِّتِ مِنْ مُقَدَّمِ السَّرِيرِ أَوْ مُؤَخَّرِهِ، وَأَنْ يَمُرَّ أَهْلُ الْمَيِّتِ بَيْنَ يَدَيِ الْجِنَازَةِ قَرِيبًا أَوْ خَلْفَهَا قَرِيبًا، يُفَخِّمُ بِذَلِكَ الْمَيِّتَ، وَإِذَا فَاجَأَتْهُ جِنَازَةٌ وَهُوَ عَلَى غَيْرِ وُضُوءٍ تَيَمَّمَ وَصَلَّى عَلَيْهَا، وَإِذَا فَاتَتْهُ مِنَ التَّكْبِيرِ شَيْءٌ بَادَرَ قَبْلَ أَنْ تُرْفَعَ، فَكَبَّرَ مَا فَاتَهُ
Translation
✧ If the imam said the takbir over a funeral and then another was brought, he would say the takbir over it four times, making four for the latter and five for the former. Ibrahim disliked that the last thing the deceased should hear be a flute, or that a rider pass in front of the funeral, or that a man stand between the two posts of the bier at the front or back, or that the family of the deceased pass in front of the funeral or close behind it, magnifying the deceased by that. If a funeral surprised him while he was not in a state of ritual purity, he would perform tayammum and pray over it. If he missed part of the takbir, he would hasten before it was lifted and say the takbir for what he had missed.
