عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ:
كَانُوا يَسْتَحِبُّونَ اللَّحْدَ، وَيَكْرَهُونَ الشَّقَّ، وَيَكْرَهُونَ الْآجُرَّ فِي الْقَبْرِ، وَيَسْتَحِبُّونَ اللَّبِنَ وَالْقَصَبَ، وَكَانُوا يَكْرَهُونَ إِذَا سُوِّيَ عَلَى الْمَيِّتِ أَنْ يَقُومَ الْوَلِيُّ عَلَى قَبْرِهِ فَيُعَزَّى بِهِ
Translation
Chain of narrators
machine translationʿAbd al-Razzāq, from al-Thawrī, from Mughīrah, from Ibrāhīm, who said:
✧ They used to prefer the niche grave and dislike the trench grave. They disliked bricks in the grave and preferred unbaked bricks and reeds. They also disliked it when the earth was leveled over the deceased for the guardian to stand at his grave and receive condolences.
