✧ Preventing women from following funerals

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ ذَرٍّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ:
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَتْبَعُ جِنَازَةً، فَإِذَا بَامْرَأَةٍ عَجُوزٍ تَتْبَعُهَا، فَغَضِبَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ حَتَّى عُرِفَ الْغَضَبُ فِي وَجْهِهِ، فَأَمَرَ بِهَا فَرُدَّتْ، ثُمَّ وُضِعَ السَّرِيرُ، فَلَمْ يُكَبِّرْ عَلَيْهَا حَتَّى قَالُوا: وَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ بِالْحَقِّ لَقَدْ تَوَارَتْ بِأَخْصَاصِ الْمَدِينَةِ قَالَ: ثُمَّ كَبَّرَ عَلَيْهَا
Translation
✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ was following a funeral procession, and there was an old woman following it. The Messenger of God ﷺ became angry until anger was seen on his face. He ordered that she be turned back. Then the bier was placed, and he did not say the takbīr over her until they said: By the One who sent you with the truth, she has disappeared among the palm-fenced huts of Madinah. He said: Then he said the takbīr over her.
