✧ Walking in front of the funeral

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ أَبِي مَاجِدٍ الْحَنَفِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ:
سَأَلْنَا نَبِيَّنَا ﷺ عَنِ الْمَشْيِ مَعَ الْجَنَائِزِ فَقَالَ: إِنَّمَا هِيَ مَتْبُوعَةٌ وَلَيْسَتْ بِتَابِعَةٍ، وَلَيْسَ مَعَهَا مَنْ تَقَدَّمَهَا
Translation
✧ We asked our Prophet ﷺ about walking with funerals, and he said: It is only the one followed, not the follower, and there is no one with it who precedes it.
