عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ:
الْبَسُوا مِنْ ثِيَابِكُمُ الْبَيَاضَ؛ فَإِنَّهَا مِنْ خَيْرِ ثِيَابِكُمْ، وَكَفِّنُوا فِيهَا مَوْتَاكُمْ، وَمِنْ خَيْرِ أَكْحَالِكُمُ الْإِثْمِدُ؛ فَإِنَّهُ يُنْبِتُ الشَّعَرَ وَيَجْلُو الْبَصَرَ
Translation
✧ Wear white from your garments, for they are among the best of your garments, and shroud your dead in them. Among the best of your kohls is ithmid, for it makes hair grow and clears the sight.
