عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ:
أَيُّ الْحِنَاطِ أَحَبُّ إِلَيْكَ ؟ قَالَ: " الْكَافُورُ " قَالَ: قُلْتُ: فَأَيْنَ يُجْعَلُ مِنْهُ ؟ قَالَ: " فِي مَرَاقِّهِ، قُلْتُ لَهُ: فِي إِبِطِهِ ؟ قَالَ: " نَعَمْ، وَفِي مَرْجِعِ رِجْلَيْهِ، وَفِي رُفْغَيْهِ وَمَرَاقِّهِ وَمَا هُنَالِكَ، وَفِي فِيهِ وَأَنْفِهِ وَعَيْنَيْهِ وَأُذُنِهِ "، قُلْنَا: أَيَابِسٌ يُجْعَلُ الْكَافُورُ أَوْ يُبَلُّ بِمَاءٍ ؟ قَالَ: " بَلْ يَابِسًا ".
Translation
✧ Which perfume is most beloved to you? He said: "Camphor." He said: I said: Where should it be applied? He said: "On his lower belly." I said to him: In his armpit? He said: "Yes, and on the bend of his legs, and in his groins and lower belly and what is there, and in his mouth, nose, eyes, and ears." We said: Should the camphor be applied dry or moistened with water? He said: "Rather dry."
