✧ Whoever washes a deceased person should perform ghusl or wudu

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ، عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْمُزَنِيِّ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَلْقَمَةُ الْمُزَنِيُّ قَالَ:
غَسَّلَ أَبَاكَ أَرْبَعٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ الشَّجَرَةِ، فَمَا زَادُوا عَلَى أَنِ احْتَجَزُوا عَلَى ثِيَابِهِمْ، فَلَمَّا فَرَغُوا تَوَضَّئُوا وَصَلَّوْا عَلَيْهِ
Translation
✧ Four of the Companions of the Tree washed your father, and they did no more than tuck up their garments; when they finished, they performed wudu and prayed over him.
