✧ The wage of the washer

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ:
مَنْ غَسَّلَ مَيِّتًا خَرَجَ مِنْ خَطِيئَتِهِ مِثْلَ يَوْمِ وَلَدَتْهُ أُمُّهُ. قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ: وَبَلَغَنِي عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ مِثْلُ ذَلِكَ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ زَادَ فِي قَوْلِهِ: " مَنْ غَسَّلَ مَيِّتًا ثُمَّ لَمْ يُفْشِ عَلَيْهِ "، كُلُّ ذَلِكَ مِنَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ: " مَنْ غَسَّلَ مَيِّتًا خَرَجَ مِنْ خَطَايَاهُ كَيَوْمِ وَلَدَتْهُ أُمُّهُ
Translation
✧ Whoever washes a deceased person, he comes out of his sins like the day his mother gave birth to him. Ibn Jurayj said: It reached me from al-Shaʿbī the like of that except that he added in his saying: "Whoever washes a deceased person and then does not disclose anything about him," all of that from the Prophet ﷺ: "Whoever washes a deceased person, he comes out of his sins like the day his mother gave birth to him."
