عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ:
قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ: إِنْ كَانَ ذَا ضَفِيرَتَيْنِ مَضْفُورَتَيْنِ ؟ قَالَ: " تُنْشَرَانِ وَتُغْسَلَانِ، قُلْتُ: أَرَأَيْتَ السِّدْرَ لَا بُدَّ مِنْهُ ؟ قَالَ: " إِنَّكَ لَتُوجِبُ، أَمَّا السِّدْرُ فَطَهُورٌ "، قُلْتُ: فَلَمْ يُوجَدْ سِدْرٌ فَيُؤْخَذُ خِطْمِيٌّ ؟ قَالَ: " لَا، سَيُوجَدُ السِّدْرُ
Translation
✧ I said to 'Ata': If he has two braided locks? He said: "They are undone and washed." I said: Do you think lote-tree leaves are indispensable? He said: "You are making it obligatory. As for lote-tree leaves, they are a purifier." I said: If lote-tree leaves are not found, should marshmallow be taken? He said: "No, lote-tree leaves will be found."
