عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عُثْمَانُ بْنُ الْأَسْوَدِ، أَنَّ أُمَيَّةَ بْنَ صَفْوَانَ،
أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ وَجَدَ صَحِيفَةً مَرْبُوطَةً بِقِرَابِ صَفْوَانٍ أَوْ بِسَيْفِهِ، وَإِذَا فِيهَا: هَذَا مَا سَأَلَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ رَبَّهُ: " أَيْ رَبِّ، مَا جَزَاءُ مَنْ يَبُلُّ الدَّمْعُ وَجْهَهُ مِنْ خَشْيَتِكَ ؟ قَالَ: " صَلَوَاتِي "، قَالَ: فَمَا جَزَاءُ مَنْ يُصَبِّرُ الْحَزِينَ ابْتِغَاءً لِوَجْهِكَ ؟ قَالَ: " أَكْسُوهُ ثِيَابًا مِنَ الْإِيمَانِ يَتَبَوَّأُ بِهَا الْجَنَّةَ وَيَتَّقِي بِهَا النَّارَ " قَالَ: فَمَا جَزَاءُ مَنْ يَسُدُّ الْأَرْمَلَةَ ابْتِغَاءَ وَجْهِكَ ؟ قَالَ: وَمَا يَسُدُّ ؟ قَالَ: يَمُونُهَا، أُقِيمُهُ فِي ظِلِّي وَأُدْخِلُهُ جَنَّتِي " قَالَ: فَمَا جَزَاءُ مَنْ تَبِعَ الْجِنَازَةَ ابْتِغَاءَ وَجْهِكَ ؟ قَالَ: " يُصَلِّي مَلَائِكَتِي عَلَى جَسَدِهِ وَيُشَيِّعُ رُوحَهُ " قَالَ: وَكَانَ فِيهِ عِيَادَةُ الْمَرِيضِ فَنَسِيتُهَا
Translation
✧ He reported that he found a scroll tied to Safwan's scabbard or to his sword, and on it was written: "This is what Ibrahim asked his Lord: 'O Lord, what is the reward of one whose tears moisten his face out of fear of You?' He said: 'My blessings.' He said: 'What is the reward of one who comforts the sorrowful seeking Your countenance?' He said: 'I will clothe him in garments of faith with which he will dwell in Paradise and be shielded from the Fire.' He said: 'What is the reward of one who supports the widow seeking Your countenance?' He said: 'What does he support?' He said: 'He provides for her. I will place him in My shade and admit him to My Paradise.' He said: 'What is the reward of one who follows the funeral procession seeking Your countenance?' He said: 'My angels will pray over his body and accompany his soul.'" He said: "And in it was visiting the sick, but I forgot it."
