✧ The prostration incumbent on one who hears it

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قَالَ:
قُلْتُ: أَيْ رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَيُّ مَسْجِدٍ وُضِعَ بِالْأَرْضِ أَوَّلُ ؟ قَالَ: " الْمَسْجِدُ الْحَرَامُ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: ثُمَّ أَيُّ ؟ قَالَ: " الْمَسْجِدُ الْأَقْصَى " قَالَ: قُلْتُ: فَكَمْ بَيْنَهُمَا ؟ قَالَ: " أَرْبَعُونَ سَنَةً " ثُمَّ قَالَ: " حَيْثُ أَدْرَكَتْكَ الصَّلَاةُ فَصَلِّ، فَهُوَ مَسْجِدٌ ". نص إضافيفَكَانَ التَّيْمِيُّ رُبَّمَا قَرَأَ فِي السَّجْدَةِ وَهُوَ يَمُرُّ فَسَجَدَ كَمَا هُوَ عَلَى الطَّرِيقِ
Translation
✧ He said: I said, “O Messenger of God, which mosque was placed on earth first?” He said: “The Sacred Mosque.” He said: I said, “Then which?” He said: “The Farthest Mosque.” He said: I said, “How much is between them?” He said: “Forty years.” Then he said: “Wherever prayer overtakes you, pray, for it is a mosque.” Additional text: Al-Taymi would sometimes recite a prostration verse while passing by and would prostrate just as he was on the road.
